December Human Trafficking Awareness Meeting~ An International Perspective

Thurs. Dec. 7 join us for the last 2017 Human Trafficking Awareness Community Meeting at the Columbia Public Library, 100 W. Broadway. Come early for fair trade holiday shopping. Engage with fellow concerned citizens, hear a presentation, updates from partners, and announcements for 2018.

Local resident April Rothweiler will share about her work in Cambodia as anti-trafficking liaison with Legacy of Hope International (LOHI), an organization that specializes in prevention, awareness, and after-care. Through community outreach and providing a literary school and dormitory, LOHI is able to keep youth safe and give them a hopeful future.

Prior to the meeting Ava Swofford will be showcasing a sampling of products from Global Market, a fair trade shop inside Columbia’s Community United Methodist Church Welcome Center, 3301 W. Broadway. See you at 5:45!

January 2018 we meet Thurs. the 11th, National Human Trafficking Awareness Day! Join us at 6 pm for a special program in the Columbia Public Library Friends Room.
